3rd Annual 'Ride for the Mind’ Motorcycle/Model Car Rally

When: Saturday, July 29th, Registration at 8am

Where: Gratitude Club (Fond du Lac)  

Details: This is a sober family fun event to bring Mental Health and Suicide Awareness tot he forefront. We are promoting a healthy lifestyle event of healing and recovery. Food, Live Music, Raffles, Craft/Vendors, Kids Activities. See more info at namifonddulac.orgThe 9th annual NAMI Fond du Lac cash raffle drawing will take place on Saturday, July 29th during the Ride for the Mind fundraiser.  All proceeds will benefit NAMI and Friendship Corner. 1000 tickets were printed with 6 great prize opportunities.  Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.  Tickets are available at Adult Care Consultants, Bluegoose Coffee House, Friendship Corner, and NAMI Fond du Lac Board Members. 


 

LGBTQ Adult Community Support Group

Dates: First Thursday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. Health Resource Center
          Third Thursday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. Finance Meeting Room

Cost: Free

Details: LGBT Adult Support group is a confidential support group for adults 18 and older who identify with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) community, and/or seeking support surrounding their sexual orientation.

Facilitated by Leann Vice-Reshel, MA, LPC; Paul Clark, MSE, LPC; and Michaela Ramos, BS, master’s level intern, Agnesian HealthCare Behavioral Health Services, this professional and peer-led group offers support to individuals anywhere in their coming out process, and includes professional education on the following:

  • Coming out
  •  Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity
  • Communication with family and friends

NAMI Basics: For Professionals 

NAMI Basics for Professionals is a six class, peer-directed education program developed specifically for professionals who work with children such as group home employees, foster parents, day care providers, social workers, etc. who have either been diagnosed with a serious mental illness/serious emotional disturbance or who are experiencing symptoms, but have not yet been diagnosed. 

When: Tuesdays June 13-July 25 (no class July 4) at 6:30 p.m
Where: 21 E. 2nd St. Ste 104, Fond du Lac
Cost: FREE

NAMI Family Support Group

Date: Monthly on the third Thursday at 6:30 p.m.   
Details: This gathering is offered monthly by NAMI affiliates, free of charge, in a confidential and safe setting at Friendship Corner and is run by volunteer facilitators who are also family members living with mental health challenges in their lives.  Group discussion and interaction will be encouraged. NAMI Friendship Circle: Live, Laugh, Love Support Group

Date/Time: every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Location: NAMI Friendship Corner 21 E.2nd Street, Fond du Lac
Details: This group provides a safe environment for individuals living with mental illness who want to learn coping skills and strategies. Live, Laugh, Love Support Group will be a peer led focus group entailing recovery topics that impact the lives of individuals with an overall goal of providing support to attendees.
